Welcome to the online home of Southern Oregon Decorative Artists. We invite anyone interested in decorative painting to join us in developing their skills and meeting new friends.
If you would like to check us out in person, we welcome you to attend a club meeting & paint-in as a guest. You can attend as a guest twice, and we would love to meet you!
Meetings
Our club meets at the Live Oak Grange in Rogue River, Oregon. We usually meet on the fourth Saturday of each month, but please check the Calendar page for specific dates and meeting times.
What We Do
We offer a variety of classes and seminars in several different mediums taught by both local and travel teachers. Please enjoy your visit to our website and come back often!
Upcoming Club Events
February Club Meeting & Paint-In
Saturday, February 28 - 10:00 - Club Meeting & Paint-In - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - We're planning a fun day with several demonstrations of various painting and finishing techniques in the morning. Then after lunch we will hold our fun Rumble. The Rumble is basically a silent auction using your points to "buy" painting items that have been donated by other club members. So, start going through your stash of stuff and bring any items you no longer need or want (painting related items such as surfaces, pattern packets or books, paint, brushes, etc.). It should be a fun and easy day, so don't miss it!
March Club Meeting & Paint-In
Saturday, March 28 - 10:00 - Club Meeting & Paint-In - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - Following our business meeting, Kathy Prewitt will be teaching this cute spring design. The Prep Instructions and Line Drawing can be downloaded on the Members Only page.
We will begin with a short business meeting at 10:00 followed by painting with Kathy. Bring your own lunch and a snack and/or raffle item to share. This should be a fun project to paint with Kathy...she is a great teacher and always has tips and tricks to share with us all.
April One Day Seminar with Karen Brouwer
Saturday, April 25 - 9:00 - One Day Seminar with Karen Brouwer - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - We are so fortunate to be able to host Karen Brouwer for a one-day seminar. She has come all the way from Australia to teach at the Portland Convention and has offered to teach a project for us while she is in town.

Joining Southern Oregon Decorative Artists
Did you know...
Membership in the Society of Decorative Painters is no longer necessary to join our club. We are now an independent painting club with no ties to the now-defunct SDP. You can join us for just $35 a year in annual dues. You can also attend as a guest at 1 or 2 meetings to see what we're all about.
