Welcome to the online home of Southern Oregon Decorative Artists. We invite anyone interested in decorative painting to join us in developing their skills and meeting new friends.
If you would like to check us out in person, we welcome you to attend a club meeting & paint-in as a guest. You can attend as a guest twice, and we would love to meet you!
Meetings
Our club meets at the Live Oak Grange in Rogue River, Oregon. We usually meet on the fourth Saturday of each month, but please check the Calendar page for specific dates and meeting times.
What We Do
We offer a variety of classes and seminars in several different mediums taught by both local and travel teachers. Please enjoy your visit to our website and come back often!
Acrylic Painting Classes
Artist Attic/Scrappy Craft is now offering lessons in acrylic painting along with classes in other mediums. They're a great local business in Phoenix, Oregon. Check out their website at: artistatticsales.com.
Upcoming Two-Day Seminar with Marco Aguilar
Saturday & Sunday, July 26 & 27 - 9:00 - Seminar with Marco Aguilar - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - We are so excited to be hosting Marco Aguilar for a two-day in-person seminar. Marco will be teaching these two projects, Tropical Sunset & Painted Pony.
The seminar cost includes your lunch for both days and your canvases for both projects. Marco will supply the paint. The seminar cost is $195.00 for club members and $220.00 for non-members.

Upcoming Club Events
August Club Meeting & Paint-In
Saturday, August 23 - 10:00 - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - We are so excited to welcome back Jamie Mills-Price who will be teaching a surprise project for us! Jamie will supply the pattern packets, surfaces and paint! But she needs to know how many students to plan for, so you must RSVP for this class. Please let Kellie Pomeroy know if you plan to attend Jamie's class. You know it will be a fun time and we will learn a lot from Jamie. Please bring your regular painting supplies.
Bunco Party & Holiday Faire
Saturday, September 27 - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - Club members please arrive no later than 9:00. The doors will open to party guests at 10:00 and the games begin at 11:00.
October Meeting & Paint-In
Saturday, October 25 - 10:00 - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - Kathy Prewitt will be teaching this sweet Debbie Cushing design.
We will begin with a short business meeting at 10:00 and then paint with Kathy. Bring your lunch. You can also bring a snack or dessert to share or a raffle prize to donate to our monthly raffle.
November Club Meeting & Paint-In
Saturday, November 15 - 10:00 - Live Oak Grange, Rogue River - Julie Veronneau will be teaching this lovely autumnal design.

Joining Southern Oregon Decorative Artists
Did you know...
Membership in the Society of Decorative Painters is no longer necessary to join our club. We are now an independent painting club with no ties to the now-defunct SDP. You can join us for just $25 a year in annual dues. You can also attend as a guest at 1 or 2 meetings to see what we're all about.
